In the picturesque village of Ransol, in the parish of Canillo, at an altitude of 1,800 metres, we have an authentic barn from the year 1800, a traditional building for keeping livestock and storing straw, recently converted into a home, respecting all current construction and environmental standards, with the comfort needed to live off the ski slopes of Soldeu - El Tarter, which connects to the largest ski area in the Pyrenees "Gran Valira".
Located at the gateway to the Ransol Valley, a mountain pass for high-level cycling training, starting point for the trails that lead to the lakes and peaks of the area. The location allows access in 15 minutes to the border with France and in 20 minutes to the commercial centre of Escaldes-Engordany and Andorra la Vella.
The hut has 300 meters built. In the old area where the cattle rested we find a garage for two cars, with private neighborhood access, exclusive for the residents of the old town, a machinery area and a pantry where the feeding trough for the cows is preserved. In the access area with a ramp that was once used to bring up carts loaded with straw, we find the original main door that leads to a large hall from which we access 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom, one of which has been converted into a gym/spa, with a Nordic bathtub and a sauna for relaxation.
On the upper floor there is a large under-roof room with views of the valley and mountains, which combines kitchen/dining/living room and a spectacular central fireplace. From the living room, through a door recovered from the barn, you can access the duplex suite, with a large bathroom/dressing room and an original staircase leading to the master bedroom and a private terrace/solarium with unbeatable views.
In terms of sustainability and comfort, we have a pre-installation of photovoltaic panels, a heat pump that produces the energy necessary to ensure maximum comfort in air conditioning, underfloor heating with home automation control, and a central vacuum system.
